Have you ever wondered if God cared whether or not you were sincerely seeking after Him? The Bible says, “Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) This is good news. It means that God is not indifferent to whether or not we seek Him. Our seeking will not go unnoticed. As a matter of fact, we will be rewarded for it. Don’t get me wrong, when I think of a reward, I am not thinking of it in the material sense, but the reward of knowing Him better. It would mean the times we go to Him in prayer or sit with Him in silence, those times will be rewarded – we will know Him better . It would mean when we go to Him with questions and disappointments and want to know why He is allowing certain things to happen, we will be rewarded – we will know Him better. It would mean when we weep over things in His presence, we will be rewarded – we will know Him better. Whenever we sincerely seek Him, we will be rewarded – we will know Him better.
